We operate exclusively on the basis of the German Freight Forwarders' Standard Terms and Conditions 2017 (ADSp 2017). Clause 23 of these terms limits the statutory liability for damage to goods pursuant to Section 431 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) to 8.33 SDR/kg per claim or per event, up to a maximum of €1.25 million or €2.5 million, or 2 SDR/kg, whichever is higher. For multimodal transport including sea carriage, the limit is generally 2 SDR/kg. The ADSp 2017 can be viewed at www.emons.de/adsp.pdf or requested from us.
